USS Vanguard/ Orca
Here I am, doing everything I danged well can to help the Rangers get that piece of scuzz-sucking offal known as Captain Thomas and bring him back to the Vanguard to head for Trial and the Borg show up. I don't know if he called them to try to work a deal for his freedom or what but we landed smack dab in the middle of an assimilation field. At least he's here in this mess with us since we snagged him with the 'porter as the Borg were going through his ship. I kinda feel sorry for his crew that got assimilated, but it MIGHT be better for them than a court-martial for treason with the Admiralty in the mood they're in.
We hightailed it with Thomas out of there but the Borg tractors destroyed our precious Orca just as we crashed into the USS Bohica, an old, abandoned Excelsior class ship and managed to beam aboard at the last second. There's no atmosphere in here, so we're all in EVA suits, even Thomas, though I'd LOVE to stick a pin in his butt through the suit. We're holed up in Engineering since that seems to be one of the few places where the damage to the Bohica seems to be at a minimum. At least, I have a deck of cards to help pass the time...
